Welcome to Weight Loss Central!

If anyone told me a year ago I would have my own blog, writing about topics I feel very passionate about – nutrition, health, lifestyle – I would have told them to “get out of here!” But here we are.

To say it was a steep learning curve trying to set up a website that looks somewhat decent and get it going would be an understatement! There were times I was ready to pull my hair out and my eyes hurt from staring at the screen for hours on end trying to resolve some minor issue and getting nowhere….

I have no idea where this blog will go (or not). I have no expectations, big plans, grandiose ideas. What I do have is the passion for inspiring people to improve their health. And with a current obesity epidemic – losing some weight is an excellent first step.

I have myself experimented with various diets, mostly to try and find one that brings the best health benefits. Only once I did it to lose weight (after having a baby). I feel great when I follow a diet that I believe will give me good health, energy, healthy weight and protection against chronic disease.

Diet is, of course, only one (even if it’s the biggest one) aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I firmly believe in the benefits of exercise, good quality sleep, hydration, reduction of stress, the importance of loving relationships with others and most importantly – with yourself.

I hope my knowledge, experiences and insights will help you achieve whatever goals you have set for yourself. If at least one person improves his or her health through information on my blog – it will all be worth it!
